Last updated: June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Math Solver AI (the “Service”, available at math-solver.ai) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our free, AI-powered math solver. The Service is operated by the Math Solver AI team, based in the United States (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described below. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Information We Collect

We aim to collect only what we need to provide and improve the Service. The information we handle falls into a few general categories:

  • Problems you submit to the solver. When you type a question or build an equation using our visual equation editor, we process the text and mathematical expressions you enter so we can generate a step-by-step solution. The Service accepts text and equation input only.
  • Usage and analytics data. We collect information about how you interact with the Service, such as pages viewed, features used, approximate location derived from your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring pages, and timestamps.
  • Cookies and similar technologies. We and our partners use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to operate the Service, remember preferences, measure performance, and support advertising. See the section on cookies below.
  • Contact details you provide voluntarily. If you reach out to us through a contact form or by email, we receive the information you choose to share, such as your name, email address, and the contents of your message.

Please do not include personal or sensitive information in the problems you submit. The solver is designed for math questions. Avoid entering names, contact details, financial or health information, account credentials, or any other sensitive data within problem text.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Generate solutions and step-by-step explanations for the problems you enter;
  • Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service and its features;
  • Understand usage trends and measure performance through analytics;
  • Display and measure advertising, where applicable;
  • Respond to your questions, feedback, and support requests;
  • Detect, prevent, and address technical issues, abuse, or violations of our terms;
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our rights.

How Problem Text Is Processed

To produce solutions, the problem text and equations you submit are sent to and processed by a third-party AI processing provider that powers our AI engine. This processing is automated and exists solely to generate the requested answer and explanation. Because this content is transmitted to an external provider for processing, you should not submit any personal or sensitive information within a problem. We do not ask for, and do not need, any identifying details to solve a math problem.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We and our partners use them, along with similar technologies, for purposes that generally fall into these categories:

  • Essential: needed for the Service to function, such as remembering your consent choices and basic preferences.
  • Analytics: help us understand how visitors use the Service so we can improve it.
  • Advertising: used by advertising partners to help deliver and measure ads, and in some cases to show more relevant ads.

You can control cookies through your browser settings and, where applicable, through the consent tools described below. Blocking some cookies may affect how the Service works.

Consent Management

We use a Consent Management Platform to present cookie and privacy choices. Visitors in the European Economic Area (EEA) and the United Kingdom are asked for consent before non-essential cookies (such as analytics and advertising cookies) are set, and may withdraw or change their consent at any time using the on-site controls.

Advertising

The Service is free to use and may display advertising to support its operation. We may show ads through third-party advertising partners, including Google AdSense. These partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads, including ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites, and to measure ad performance. We do not control the data practices of these partners; please review their own privacy policies for details. Where required, advertising cookies are used only after you provide consent.

Third-Party Services

We rely on third-party providers to deliver the Service. In general terms, these fall into the following categories:

  • AI processing providers that generate solutions from your problem text;
  • Analytics providers that help us measure and improve usage;
  • Advertising partners that help display and measure ads;
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers that keep the Service running.

These providers process information on our behalf or as independent controllers for their own purposes, as applicable. We do not sell your personal information for money.

Data Retention

We keep information only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. Problem text may be processed transiently to generate a solution and is not retained longer than necessary for operating and improving the Service. Analytics and advertising data are retained according to the settings and policies of the relevant providers. Contact-form messages are kept for as long as needed to handle your request and maintain reasonable records.

Legal Bases and Your Rights

Where the GDPR or UK data protection law applies, we process personal data on the following legal bases: your consent (for example, for non-essential cookies and advertising); our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the Service; and compliance with legal obligations.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data; to object to or restrict certain processing; to withdraw consent; and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Under the CCPA and similar US laws, you may have rights to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, and to opt out of certain sharing for targeted advertising; we do not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. To exercise any right, contact us at [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where a higher age applies) without the involvement of a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in this age group. If you believe a child has provided us personal information without appropriate consent, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

International Transfers

We operate from the United States, and our providers may process information in other countries, including outside the EEA and the UK. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses or other lawful transfer mechanisms, where required.

How to Contact Us

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or how we handle your information, contact us at [email protected]. The Service is operated by the Math Solver AI team in the United States.

Updates to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide a more prominent notice on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
